The old arena has been dismantled and moved; supplies for the new arena will arrive July 13th! The project has received full funding from generous foundations and donors.

The arena will provide protection from rain and heat for our riders so they can continue their therapy without any interruptions due to weather.

If you’re out by ManeGait be sure to check out the progress!

On June 1st, the McKinney City Council approved a $125,000 grant to ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship on behalf of the McKinney Development Corporation.

ManeGait will be using the grant to build the new High-Five Covered Arena. This arena will help prevent class cancellations due to inclimate weather.

This past fall, 65% of weekday classes were cancelled due to rain and other bad weather. With the help of others, this grant will allow ManeGait to break ground on the new arena at the beginning of July.

ManeGait would like to thank Zachary Mitchell and Parker Lessmann for choosing ManeGait as their Eagle Scout projects.

Zachary built trail and teaching aids. He very kindly donated his time, hard work, and the materials to build a trail course mailbox, flower boxes and game Ts.

Parker landscaped our on-site residence. His hard work, supervision, and dedication, as well as donation of materials helped make our property beautiful!

Thank you so very much...

Four riders from ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship competed in the Texas State Special Olympics Equestrian Summer Games held in College Station, TX on May 22-23, 2010.

Testimonials

"I got your letter and newsletter. I am glad to see everything is working out for ManeGait. My wife and I stopped by Saturday and watched those kids for a little while. She had to go by and give ol Freckles a kiss and hug...."
