The Gaitapalooza Trail Ride Fundraiser and Family Festival was a fun-filled day for the ManeGait riders with disabilities, their families, friends and the whole community. We raised 200% of our fundraising goal and all of the proceeds will go to serve the ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship horses, riders and program costs.
One of our volunteers at the event summed it up perfectly by saying...
"I am so thankful to have been a part of such a great event! Wow, it was like a climbing a mountain and when you got to the top, you never wanted to come down! I prayed so much for the day to be great, and God showed up all day long!!! The weather was beautiful and I have never seen so many smiles in one day! Also, I saw several parents with tears of joy running down there faces as their child mounted for the big ride!!! I would venture to say that everyone at Gaitapalooza went beyond all boundaries and left with hearts filled with love!!!"
~Amy Thomas, ManeGait Volunteer
The event was a wonderful day for all. Many riders experienced a trail ride for the first time and received their first trophy as a reward for their fundraising efforts. Riders, families and community members all had a blast at the carnival playing in bounce houses and the petting zoo, getting their faces painted, watching the dog agility show, taking roping lessons and tasting the delicious home made caramel apples. Thank you to all who helped make the day a huge success.
